Are you ready to adopt and/or foster one of our fabulous MVPs? Want to be involved with volunteering? The process starts here!
Please read the descriptions below about adopting or fostering through Miami Valley Pit Crew. There is more information on the linked pages, along with the applications.
We receive anywhere from 25-50 adoption applications per week, so it may take us a few days to get back to you. Any incomplete applications for adoption or fostering will be rejected, so please fill out the information completely.
Pet adoption is a very serious matter. You are committing to care for a dog for life.
Many adopters don't understand breed specific tendencies, so please research before you apply.
We may suggest a different dog than the one you apply for. Realize that is in the best interest of our dogs AND for you. We know the dogs, understand their breed tendencies and often can help guide you to make a better choice that will fit for your family.
We do not adopt to anyone under the age of 25. This is a lifetime commitment and almost every time we have bent this rule the dog has been returned because it was "too much work." Therefore, please understand that any application for a person under 25 will be denied.
All of our MVP adopters are pre-approved to foster, but we are always needing new fosters to join our team.
Fostering is a very rewarding experience. All of our fosters will tell you that it is both exciting and heartbreaking at times. There is nothing quite like knowing you have been part of saving a life.
Can you make phone calls? Deliver food? Transport dogs? Fundraise? Then we need you!
Volunteering is a great way to break into the world of rescue. You can do as much or as little as you like, and we will be there to help guide you along the way. When everyone does something, more lives are saved.
